Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have on Saturday stormed the home of the Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the February 2019 presidential election, Omoyele Sowore to arrest him.
Eye9ja understands that Sowore, a human rights activist and founder of the online news agency, Sahara Reporters was arrested Saturday morning when he posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25am, confirming his arrest in the statement that says “DSS invades Sowore’s”.
Eye9ja understands that his arrest might be unconnected to his plans to mobilised people in Lagos and many parts of the country for a revolution protest tagged ‘Days of Rage,’ a peaceful demonstration aimed at demanding a better Nigeria.
His arrest comes after the AAC declared 5th of August for the commencement of revolution protest.
It would be recalled that Sowore, disclosed recently in Abuja at the end of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting that the protest would be sustained until the country is put on the right path of honour where justice prevails.
