A group, ‘Red Card Movement’ has demanded a free, fair and ‘bloodless’ election in the November 16 Governorship election in Kogi state.
Eye9ja reports that the chairman of the group and state chairman of the United Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo made this known in a statement obtained recently.
This online news platform understands that the chairman of the Red Card Movement noted that the election shall give the people of the state an opportunity against political terrorists.
He made this known while charging the Governor of the state, Yahaya Bello and other candidates vying for the number one position in the state on the need to embrace peace throughout the cause of the poll.
Opaluwa expressed optimism in the outcome of the parties’ primaries and went ahead to highlight three focus of the group which includes; Character, Capacity, and competence.
In his words, Opaluwa said; “The November 2019 Election in kogi State shall be a Bloodless Revolution of the thumb, it shall be the people against political terrorists. The Red Card Movement in the state is waiting for very patiently for the outcome of parties primaries. We have activated all the polling unit across the state. Our focus is on ‘3 C’,which is, CHARACTER,CAPACITY AND COMPETENCE. We are patiently waiting at the GATE.”
