Death, Injuries As Fresh Explosions Rock Maiduguri

Suspected members of the dreaded insurgency group, Boko Haram on Friday, October 4,  attacked Mifa, a village in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

Eye9ja reports that the Boko Haram members who arrived in the village at about 8pm were reported to have burnt down an undisclosed number of houses.

While speaking, an eyewitness and a resident of the village who requested anonymity said as thus; “They are burning houses as I speak to you; many of them arrived with motorcycles and started attacking the village.

“They have burnt so many houses, especially because it is dark and due to the terrain of the place.

“We don’t know of any casualty yet. The troops just arrived, although the insurgents are still inside the villages.”

However, efforts to reach the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa for confirmation of the report proved abortive.
