ullion Van: Aisha accuses EFCC of Negligence To Investigate Tinubu

The co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign, Aisha Yesufu, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  of oligarchy practice.

Eye9ja report that this accusation was made on twitter, on Tuesday, October 5, by the social activist. in his statement, he suggested that the “anointing” of Bola Tinubu is the reason EFCC has failed to investigate him.

This online news platform understands that he was referring to the bullion vans that was sighted early this year at Tinubu’s Lagos residence.

Eye9ja recalls that bullion vans were sighted a day before the commencement of the 2019 general elections in February this year at Tinubu’s Bourdillon home in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu, at the time reacted to those questioning the spotted bullion van at his resident, saying he had not stolen government money, adding that he has had no contact with government money in any way in the last five years and that since there was no report that the bullion vans contained electoral materials, he had committed no offence.

His words: “What is your issue with bullion vans in my house?
“I have not done any government business in the last five years.
“So I didn’t steal government money.
“And the bullion van was not said to contain election materials.
“So what offence have I committed.
“I have had no contact with government money in the last five years.
“So I don’t see why that should be anybody’s problem.
“It is my money.
“I decide where to keep it and where to keep it.”

In reaction to the incapability of the EFCC to investigate the incident after several months, the social activist accused the  EFCC of being oligarchical.

She wrote: “It is quite pathetic how @officialEFCC is ridiculing itself. Instead of being an institution it has become an organisation in the pocket of a few.

“If Ganduje has immunity & you refused to go after him what does Tinubu have? Anointing?
Are some Nigerians more Nigerians than others?” She questioned.
