The occupant and Indigenous of Bayelsa state are set to commence their election process to vote in there most preferred number one citizen who will lead them.
Eye9ja report that the Bayelsa Governorship election will hold in (8) Local Government Areas (LGA), 2,244 polling units and voting points. Bayelsa has 923,182 registered voters with 239 electoral wards.
This online news platform understands that 867,088 voters who collected their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) will participate in the governorship election today.

Forty-five (45) political parties and candidates are registered for the Bayelsa governorship election but two; the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been identified by political analysts as the main contenders for the election.
David Lyon of the All Progressive Congress is hoping to take over from the current Governor Seriake Henry Dickson who is backing Douye Diri (PDP candidate) for the state.
The election is being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
