Boko Haram Fulani herdsmen

At least 19 persons have been killed while several others left injured after a gun duel involving some Boko Haram insurgents and some Fulani herdsmen.

Eye9ja reports that casualties of the attack all include Fulani herdsmen who clashed with the Boko Haram terrorists in Ngala, close to the Cameroon border.

This online news platform understands that the Fulani Herdsmen were killed while defending their cattle from the Boko Haram terrorists in the region.

In a report obtained by Eye9ja, the AFP reports that Anti-jihadist militia leader, Umar Kachalla disclosed that they brought the corpse of the late herdsmen to the police.

Kachalla said; “The insurgents killed 19 of the herdsmen in the fight. The herdsmen were subdued by the better-armed Boko Haram gunmen.”

It was further learnt that Boko Haram insurgents returned to Fuhe village after the killings, burning homes and food supplies belonging to the Fulani herdsmen.

This comes in the wake of emerging reports revealing that Boko Haram terrorists have allegedly increased their attack on farmers, herders and loggers who they accused of spying and passing information about them to the military and the local militia fighting them.

The Boko Haram insurgents have also in recent times being in the habit of raiding herding communities and seizing cattle.
