Okada riders in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos on Wednesday clashed with operatives of the Nigerian Police.
Eye9ja reports that the clash comes as one of the numerous reactions to the ban of motorcycles, better known as Okadas, and tricycles also known as Keke Napep by the Lagos state government.
Eye9ja on Wednesday obtained a video from the scene of the clash involving the Nigerian Police operatives in Ipaja and the Riders in the area.
A source took to a micro-blogging site, Twitter to share a video clip of the moment the Riders clashed Nigerian Police officers.
In the video clip obtained by Eye9ja, a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT), deployed to convey passengers to and fro Iyana-Ipaja, a vehicle belonging to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASMA) and a vehicle of the Nigerian Police have been set ablaze by the angry riders in the area.
The clash also comes after this online news platform had reported that the Lagos State Government led by Bbajide Sanwo-Olu from Saturday, February 1, began the enforcement of the ban against Okada Riders in the state; the ban that followed series of controversies and reaction.
