Emeka Ihedioha, who was sacked as Governor of Imo state by the Supreme Court, on Thursday arrived the state for the first time since his sack by the Court judgement.
Eye9ja reports that Ihedioha, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, had initially cancelled plans to visit the state due to allegations that his visit would set the state on fire, an allegation leveled against him by the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
This reliable online news platform recalls that Governor Uzodinma had accused Ihedioha and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of planning a massive protest.
The Uzodinma-led administration had called on the security operatives in the state to pay attention to the plan of Ihedioha and PDP and take steps to ensure that there is no breach of peace.
Following the call by the Imo State government, the Nigeria Police had in that vein banned rallies and protests activities across the state.
But the former deputy speaker finally entered the state on Thursday with a rousing welcome from his supporters.
Watch how Ihedioha was received by the Imo state citizens.
