IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu Roasts Chimamanda Adichie Over Biafra Comments

The 53-year-old leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) insists that nothing is going to stop him from pursuing the Biafran dream.

“I was disappointed in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I had regard for her.

“She was saying pure rubbish. You are learned and you said you believe in Nigeria?

“You went to school and you said you believe in something created as Limited Liability Company? Wasted education!

“Because you now dine and wine with White people, you now think you have an opinion about Biafra.

“What do you know about Biafra?

“How can people be united when they were defeated in a war? A war of attrition. What I call the third world war.

“What do you know about Biafra?” Kanu asked Chimamanda rhetorically.

IPOB, the controversial group which Kanu leads, is a Biafran separatist organization in Nigeria.

Its main aim is to restore an independent state of Biafra in the former Eastern Region of Nigeria through an independence referendum.

The group was founded in 2012 by Kanu.

The Biafran War was fought between the government of Nigeria headed by General Yakubu Gowon and the secessionist state of Biafra led by late Lt. Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu from 6 July 1967 to 15 January 1970.

However, secessionist movements in Nigeria are still very much active.
