2. Sex Scandal: Apostle Suleman Breaks Silence On IGP Probe

Apostle Suleman has reacted to the alleged probe order by Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu over the sex scandal with the wife of a former Pastor of his Church, identified as Pastor Faith Edeko.

It was earlier reported that IGP Adamu ordered a probe into the allegation after a former Pastor of Sulaiman’s church identified as Mike Davis alleged that the clergyman was sleeping with his wife, Edeko.

5. Buhari’s Aide Says Criminalizing Fulani Herdsmen Is Evil

Following the eviction orders issued to Fulani herdsmen over increased criminal activities in some communities across the country, the social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie has said accusing the herdsmen of every heinous act perpetrated by criminals is evil.

Onochie also alleged that many critics of the Buhari administration were driven by hate and bitterness, and criminalising Fulani herdsmen was an act of fishing for trouble.

6. INFRASTRUCTURE: Lagos Reduces Building Permit Processing Time

The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development on Monday promised to review planning permit processing time from 28 to 18 days and reduce lay-out approval process from 90 to 30 days.

Mr Mukaila Sanusi, Assistant Director Public Affairs of the ministry, said this was contained in a communiqué adopted from resolutions of an annual retreat of the ministry and its agencies.

7. COVID-19: 13 Corps Members Test Positive At NYSC Camp

The Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, Betta Edu has said thirteen National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members tested positive to COVID-19 infections at the orientation camp in the state.

In totality, Cross River recorded 20 new cases of COVID-19 infection on Sunday, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has again berated President Muhammadu Buhari over the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.

The clergy in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday morning, January 25, warned the Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho over his fight against Fulani herdsmen in the South-West region of Nigeria.

Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael known professionally as Zlatan Ibile and a fellow budding Nigerian independent artiste Bella Shmurda shared a video where they displayed football skills over the weekend.

Zlatan who shared the video on Instagram displayed professional football skills as he tries to dribble past Bella Shmurda but could not as Shmurda defensive skill was too tough for him to pass through.

10-. 15 Perish Within 72 Hours On Kaduna-Abuja Road Amid Persistent Crashes –Official

Kaduna State Government says no fewer than 15 persons perished in crashes on the Kaduna-Abuja highway, within the past 72 hours, while driving against traffic.

Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs, said on Sunday that the information was based on feedback to the state government by the military and security agencies conducting security operations along the highway.
