According to Nassau County Police Department in New York, the 64-year-old Maraj was walking along a road in Mineola on Long Island at 6:15 p.m on Friday when he was hit by a vehicle.

4. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Appointed as Director-General of WTO
The World Trade Organization has chosen Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to be the first woman and first African as its leader, tasking the former Nigerian finance minister with restoring trust in a rules-based global trading system that has been roiled by protectionism and the pandemic.
During a virtual meeting on Monday, the WTO’s 164 members unanimously selected the 66-year-old development economist to serve a four-year term as director-general.

Sumayya Shu’aibu, a housewife on Monday appeared before a Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano, for allegedly pouring hot water in a kettle and letting her husband use the content.
Shu’aibu, whose age was not provided by the court, is a resident in Mijinbir Local Government Area of Kano. She is being charged with causing grievous hurt which she pleaded not guilty for.
