The Nigerian Army has recovered the bodies of four soldiers allegedly killed by members of banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) militias in Orlu, Imo State.
According to PRNigeria, a senior military official confirmed the development, adding that the security operatives’ vehicle that was damaged during the attack had also been recaptured.
2. Traffic Offender Who Hit Police Officer Over Bridge In Viral Video To Be Arraigned
Sunday Okodo, the man in a viral video driving against traffic, tipping over a policeman over a bridge into a canal along the International Airport Road, Lagos, is to be arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Thursday.
According to reports, the driver, Sunday Okodo aged 38, has been arrested and his vehicle impounded.
3. Biafra: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Tells Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB ‘Salient’ Thing To Do
An apex Igbo socio-cultural group in Nigeria, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has told Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu and the group he leads, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to “listen to us”.
IPOB is a proscribed separatist movement aiming to restore an independent state of Biafra in the South East of Nigeria through an independence referendum.

Kanu via a tweet on his known handle on Thursday afternoon was reacting to a news report that says several women of Oyigbo town in the South-South state of Rivers were forced to wear the same underwear for four months while in Army detention.

The Abductors of a University of Ibadan (UI), student, Emmanuel Odetunde, have demanded a ransom of N100m for his release.
According to The Nation, Odetunde was abducted around 5 pm on Monday while working at his father’s poultry farm in Oke Odan, Apete area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Prof. Itse Sagay, the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) on Thursday revealed that the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami will not allow the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa to succeed due to interference.
Sagay, who said he is afraid that Malami will interfere in the discharge of duties of the new EFCC Chairman disclosed this in an interview with the Punch while speaking on Bawa’s confirmation by the Senate.
