1. Lagos Begins Covid-19 Vaccine Roll Out Weekend

Lagos State will start rolling out Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines at the weekend, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu confirmed on Wednesday.

Sanwo-Olu said a steering committee set up for the vaccine administration was in its final stage of preparation for the deployment of the vaccine, confirming that the State had a clear-cut strategy for the vaccine distribution.

2. 100 Miners Kidnapped, 10 Killed By Bandits In Zamfara

The Emir of Anka in Zamfara State, Attahiru Ahmed has said that more than 100 miners operating between Anka and Maru LGA in the state were abducted by bandits on March 2.

The Emir, who is also the chairman of the state council of chiefs disclosed this in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara on Wednesday, when Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), led the service chiefs on an assessment visit to the state.

British journalist Piers Morgan has once again taken a jab at Meghan Markle, saying that he doesn’t believe anything that comes from her.

Morgan’s words come following the complaint was lodged on behalf of the Duchess after Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain where Morgan slammed Meghan and Prince Harry over their revelations in the Oprah Winfrey interview.

4. EFCC Chairman Testifies In N1.4bn Oil Subsidy Fraud Trial

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday appeared before an Ikeja High Court, in Lagos State to give evidence in an N1.4 billion fraud trial involving an oil company, Nadabo Energy.

It could be recalled that Bawa had earlier testified against the company before his appointment as the EFCC boss.

5. Buhari’s Performance Will Earn APC 2023 Presidency — Akpabio

Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs has said the excellent performance of President Muhammadu Buhari in all areas of governance will make it extremely difficult for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming presidential elections.

Akpabio who commended President Buhari’s hard work in all parastatals stated this while addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday.

6. ‘Wasteful’ Barca Unable To Comeback Against PSG

Paris Saint-Germain reached the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday after a 1-1 draw with Barcelona gave them a 5-2 aggregate last-16 win, with Lionel Messi scoring but then missing a penalty for the Spanish giants.

PSG were in front after half an hour when Kylian Mbappe converted a penalty to become the youngest player to score 25 goals in the tournament.

Russia stated on Wednesday that Twitter may be blocked totally in the country if the US platform does not comply with its deletion demands. Presently, Russia is slowing down the speed of Twitter in retaliation for its alleged failure to remove banned content.

The move came weeks after Russian authorities accused Twitter and others of failing to delete posts it said illegally urged children to take part in anti-kremin protests, which escalates a growing stand-off between Moscow and the US-based social media platform.

10. Biafra Will Give Free Oil To Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast – Nnamdi Kanu

Biafran Activist, Mr Nnamdi Kanu, has reportedly promised to distribute free oil to some countries, Eye9ja reports.

Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra said Biafra would distribute free oil to Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Ivory Coast and Gambia when seceded from Nigeria.
