Yet to be known gunmen stormed Niger State killed one and abducted at least 6 people in a fresh attack launched in Erena, a semi-urban town in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state on Friday night, Eye9ja reports.
According to Eye9ja findings, the terrorists heavily armed with assorted sophisticated weapons invaded the town and abducted about six people to an unknown destination.

A source in the community told Eye9ja that before the recent series of attacks, Erena was one of the few towns standing in the Lakpma axis of Shiroro LGA that have not successfully been attacked or invaded.
His statement goes; “These criminals attack their victims at will without the slightest hindrance, resistance or confrontation from the authorities concerned. Sadly, defenceless, unarmed and peaceful locals have been abandoned to their fate, wallowing in perpetual agony”.
The Niger State attack is coming barely 24hours after some unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted hundreds of female students from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in the Mando in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was also learnt that the incidents which occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 12, affected only the female students of the school as the male students were not taken.
Confirming the incident, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said an investigation is ongoing.
