3. College of Forestry Shut Till Further Notice After Over 200 Students Abducted

The Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State has been shut down indefinitely and students were asked to leave the school until further notice.

The decision came after Friday, March 12 attack on the school by bandits where over 200 students were kidnapped.

4. Pandemonium As Police, Kidnappers Engage In Gun Duel

Two suspected kidnappers have died of gunshot injuries after a firefight with operatives of the FCT police command at Naharati village along the Abaji axis on Sunday.

According to The Punch, FCT Police spokesperson, Mariam Yusuf said he deceased died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

5. After Disturbing Video of Kidnapped Students Pleading For Rescue, Troops Foil Another Attack

Troops of the Nigerian Army have foiled another attempt to kidnap students at the Government Science Secondary School in the Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State, by bandits.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this on Sunday at a press conference in the state.

6. Chief Of Army Staff, Attahiru In Yobe , Addresses Lafiya Dole Troops

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, on Sunday inspected a guard of honour at the Sector 2 Headquarters of Operation Lafiya Dole during an official visit to Damaturu, Yobe State capital, North-East Nigeria.

Attahiru told the troops to be courageous in the discharge of their duties, saying that the visit was intended to familiarize him with how the officers were going about ending the war against insurgency throughout the theatre in the whole region.

10. BMW’s Mini To Go Fully Electric By 2030

Bavarian carmaker BMW, owner of the iconic Mini range will stop selling gas cars by 2030, according to a report by Der Spiegel.

The brand has also announced plans to introduce its last gas model in 2025 and for half its sales to be electric by 2027.
